The program, called People Perks, is aimed at readers of People magazine, the weekly chronicle of celebrities and pop culture. In August, Time Inc. launched PetHero, a $20 per month subscriber program offering users access to discounts on pet care and pet products. He said he expects People Perks and Pet Hero to make a “meaningful” contribution to the company’s finances. Time Inc., which publishes marquee titles including Time, Fortune and People, has also cut costs and undertaken a major reorganization in recent months. For example, Condé Nast, the publisher of titles including GQ, Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, launched a $4,000 per year membership program at Wired in 2016.
