Disabled American Veterans Orange Blossom Gardens Chapter 150 currently holds that title with more than 1,200 members, making it the fastest-growing DAV chapter in the nation. Being the largest veterans organization within The Villages, members and nonmember veterans alike benefit from its services and volunteer efforts. “A lot of our patients are elderly and unable to make that drive,” said Bonnie Miller, clinic volunteer coordinator. The DAV also has outreach efforts for homeless veterans, women veterans, ill veterans and more. “The good thing about us is all our money goes to veterans,” Summers said.
