Scotland Yard said nine arrests were made before the first leg of the semi-final showdown in north London on Tuesday night. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said a group of fans began throwing missiles outside the recently opened Tottenham stadium at around 7.15 pm. Police officers intervened and arrested four people, with three officers sustaining non-serious injuries. Five other arrests were made prior to the game's 8pm kick-off in relation to other incidents, the spokesman said.
