A fireman and two students pleaded guilty at the District Court today for participating in a protest involving blocking of roads and protestors hurling petrol bombs. The three pleaded guilty to six charges including illegal assembly, resisting arrest, possession of prohibited weapons and possessing anything with intent to destroy or damage property. The court was presented with 17 letters from Fong’s defense counsel, where he was highly rated among his firemen fellows being a selfless and brave man. He was also commended by the Director of Fire Service over his 10-year service at the department. Fong has also expressed deep regrets for his behavior and was disappointed in himself.
