On Sunday, a namaz-e-janaza, open for all, will be held for Syed Ashraf at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 10:30am. He will then be laid to rest at the Banani Graveyard in Dhaka. On Tuesday, a Kulkhwani will be held at his Bailey Road residence after the Asr prayers, to pray for his departed soul. Syed Ashraf’s cousin and Kishoreganj Awami League Joint General Secretary Syed Ashfaqul Islam Titu made the announcement. “We urge all leaders and activists, and well-wishers to join the event and pray for his departed soul,” he said in a statement.
