Two of the dead have been identified as Rakhi Begum from Sirajganj's Raigonj Upazila and Rakibul Islam from Naogaon's Badalgachi Upazila. OC Amirul said that the Bushra Paribahan passenger bus was travelling from the north of the country to Dhaka when one of the tires burst. The vehicle veered out of the driver's control and crashed at speed into the gap between a road divider and an overbridge.
