The crash, at the intersection of State Highway 1 and Wilkinsons Rd in Chertsey, Canterbury, happened just after 7pm on Thursday. A St John spokesman said two patients, one seriously and one moderately injured, were taken to Christchurch Hospital by two ambulances based in Ashburton.
