more-inThe police on Monday arrested three persons, including two women, for duping a woman of 36 sovereigns of gold jewellery. Anandan lodged a complaint with the Villianur police. They mounted surveillance on known cheaters of Puducherry and neighbouring districts of Tamil Nadu and arrested the three accused. The arrested persons reportedly confessed to their involvement in the theft. The accused had disposed of the jewellery at various places.
