SXSW is a grind for artists, marketers and music industry professionals. With that, here's a sponsor an artist and a label, who had a very successful week at SXSW's music portion. Instead, they commandeered a new venue in the Mazda Studio at Empire and partnered with music publications Spin, Vibe and Stereogum to curate diverse showcases throughout the week. 2010's Transference and 2014's They Want My Soul both got as high as #4 on the US overall charts and both 2005's Gimme Fiction and 2007's Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga reached #1 in the US Indie charts. Billboard results for the album's sales aren't in yet, but a successful SXSW push looks to propel them upwards in the charts yet again.
