The Tar Heels (33-17 overall, 14-11 ACC) secured their fifth straight victory and have won eight of their last 10 games. The victory marked UNC’s first sweep of NC State in Chapel Hill in 17 years. UNC slugger Mac Horvath drove in two runs against NC State on Saturday. He twirled five scoreless innings and scattered two hits before NC State touched him for a run. Cook, Honeycutt, Stokely and Castagnozzi had doubles, as the Tar Heels piled on the runs without the benefit of going deep for a homer.
