Forbes Advisor — a branch of the publication that provides financial advice and product reviews — conducted and published a study which ranked the worst drivers in the U.S., grading each of the 50 states plus Washington D.C. These grades were calculated the following six main metrics: Number of drunk drivers; number of fatal accidents with a distracted driver; number of fatal accidents with a drowsy driver; number of fatal accidents involving a driver going the wrong way; number of fatal accidents involving drivers who failed to obey traffic signals, signs or officers; and number of drivers who look at their phones per mile. But what state has the worst drivers? Well, certainly not drivers in Pennsylvania, as the Keystone State ranked in the 39th overall spot, meaning its motorists are actually some of the better drivers around. As far as locations which had the absolute best drivers, those were, in ascending order: Minnesota, Vermont, and Washington D.C.
