Hannu Mikkola and Gunnar Palm covered 16,000km to win the London to Mexico World Cup Rally behind the wheel of their Mk1 Ford Escort. The famous victory led to Ford bringing out the special edition Escort Mexico. I spent 2017 pulling it to bits and found that, rust-wise, it was a pretty good car apart from the front guards.
