Third group of 154 Moroccans repatriated from Sudan Friday – The North Africa Post

A third plane of Royal Air Maroc coming from Sudan landed early Friday afternoon at Mohammed V International Airport, carrying 154 Moroccan nationals and a Senegalese student evacuated from Sudan, after the deterioration of the security situation in this country. A total of 293 Moroccans had arrived Wednesday from Sudan in two RAM flights carrying 136 and 157 passengers respectively. So far, the total number of Moroccan nationals repatriated from Sudan in the special air bridge set up at the orders of King Mohammed VI amounts to 447 people. Sudan has descended into deadly clashes and chaos as forces loyal to two rival generals fight for power, leaving civilians in precarious conditions. Though the actual number of casualties is still to be determined, over 500 people have died and more than 4,000 were injured.
