At the 2017 Africa CEO Forum Awards, which took place yesterday, 20th March 2017 at InterContinental Geneva, Mohammed Dewji, Group CEO of MeTL (Mohammed Entreprise Tanzania Limited) was named the CEO of the year and Anta Babacar Ngom Bathily of Sedima won the award for Young CEO of the Year. Anta Babacar Ngom Bathily was awarded ‘Young CEO of the Year’ for her remarkable leadership skills as Executive Director of Sedima, Senegal’s leading agribusiness group. Created at last year’s Forum, the award recognises a promising young African business leader under the age of 45. Receiving the award, Ms. Ngom Bathily dedicated her award to “all women and young women.” She also dedicated the award to her father, who was present at the ceremony. The bank’s CEO Mohamed El Kettani received the prize from Amir Ben Yahmed, Founder and President of the Africa CEO Forum.
