This was undoubtedly the case locally, with Queen Elizabeth II having visited Somerset on numerous occasions during her reign. We have compiled a list of all the times Her Majesty visited our area. Her Majesty visited Weston-super-Mare in 1977. Much later in May 1987, Her Majesty visited several locations in Taunton and also popped over to Bridgwater. As part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012, The Queen visited Yeovil and Crewkerne.
