She is a regular on the book festival circuit and makes other public appearances while barely speaking at Holyrood. Ms Sturgeon's lack of public life contributions has been questioned by expert Professor James Mitchell, who highlighted that all the other former First Ministers have taken it upon themselves to continue to contribute when out of office. All senior politicians love the limelight of course but usually do try to align personal interests with personal political commitments.
