★★★★☆It must be said that when you hear the name John Malkovich, you don’t automatically think “Kingston”. But there he was, in three-piece tweed, the star of Being John Malkovich being exactly that on press night here, in the foyer in the farther reaches of London. Even the story of how he came to direct this play feels very Hollywood. Lucy Liu, who used to be one of Charlie’s Angels, was going out with Zach Helm, who wrote the play, and showed it to him. He loved it so much that he decided to direct it.
