The Wiper party has dismissed claims that its leader Kalonzo Musyoka has quit the National Super Alliance (NASA), that he will go solo in the forthcoming presidential polls slated for August 8. That was in reference to a letter circulating on social media that stated Kalonzo had quit the Opposition alliance, which picked him as ODM leader Raila Odinga’s running mate in the General Election, at Uhuru Park last week. Through a statement released on Saturday, Wiper Secretary General Hassan Omar said Kalonzo has not opted out of the National Super Alliance. The letter which is dated May 5, says Kalonzo quit because of a host of reasons including frustrations, underhand dealings and lack of commitment by other leaders. First to go public with discontent was Minority leader Francis Nyenze, a key Kalonzo ally, who raised concern over the Nasa deal when it was unveiled after months of intense negotiations.
