The group never had a stated manifesto, but the PYM tended to oppose the Vietnam War, American imperialism, and apartheid in South Africa. A plastic petrol container was found in the stolen car, Matheson had a pocket knife, and both stunk of petrol. Riethmuller went back to university in the 1990s, got a Bachelor or Arts in Literature and became an educator.
