World Under-20 Athletics Championship chief executive officer, Mike Rabar, has tipped Team Kenya to sweep the medal podium when the event ultimately comes alive at Moi Stadium, Kasarani on August 17. Speaking exclusively to the Star at the World Under-20 headquarters in Kasarani, Rabar said the local organising committee had worked closely with government to lay a perfect ground for the success of the competition. It's this kind of investment that gives us great faith in our team’s potential to produce marvellous results across all events,” said Rabar. Rabar said Team Kenya had the potential to cast aside the huge setbacks occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic and cruise all the way to a historic medal swoop. “The event will be entirely spectator-free and so we don't see the possibility of spikes in Covid-19 transmissions,” said Rabar.
