What exactly is an experiential game? Company & Co. are probably best known as the founders of the Real Escape Game — Toronto’s first interactive escape-the-room franchise and the one that ushered in a growing trend. We raised our index fingers to the sky and yelled “a-ha!” It felt like a real mystery. This adventure was occasioned by the opening of Lost and Found in Chinatown, a new “experiential game” developed and presented by Toronto’s Company & Company, and set to run 20 times every weekend from now until the end of November. That sort of fiction can be oddly compelling – all the more so when the world around you seems briefly to support it.
