And so, barely a year on the continent, the fall armyworm has lived up to its fame. Even worse, at the larva stage, the fall armyworm is a cannibal, feeding on other larvae, meaning at maturation it colonises huge swathes of land. The fall armyworm, on the other hand, is not loyal to the natural laws of food-chain dynamics.
