THE year 2020 was not just a bad year; it was a terrible year. Like a nightmare, 2020 was like a bad gift that never stopped giving. Yet, 2020 also brought to us so many gifts, which, although wrapped in agony and suffering, also tested our ability, and our will, to innovate and survive. The promise of a vaccine against the coronavirus disease 2019 is just around the corner and is waiting for us in 2021. There is, however, another kind of vaccine, a political one, that can immunize us from politicians who act like demigods.
