Depending on the outcome of an upcoming council meeting, it’s looking like three developments around Nelson will be put forward with council support for the Government’s Accelerated Infrastructure Fund. In order to be eligible, proposed developments must require new or upgraded infrastructure, be primarily for housing, and add a minimum of 100 new dwellings in Nelson. Nelson’s council will discuss supporting the proposal for the Government’s Infrastructure Acceleration Fund on Thursday. The two sections of the development would connect with the existing Quail Rise with both road and cycleway infrastructure.
