But Canada is home to its own uniquely annoying ad phenomenon: The “vanity ad.”Known to any Canadians with a T.V. To date, Alberta’s NDP government has spent $9 million promoting its climate change strategy with sunny, pastel-coloured YouTube ads. And, of course, the federal Conservatives spent much of their nine years in power on a vanity ad spending spree. The production styles on all these vanity ads is remarkably similar. Crown Corporations and government-owned enterprises similarly have an unchecked weakness for the vanity ad.
