The coolest Jaguar X-Type you've probably never heard of

The Jaguar X-Type was not a good car, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. The Ford Mondeo-based Jaguar X-Type can hardly be seen as the company’s finest hour, greatest success or coolest car. Back in 2003 multiple BTCC champion and British touring car legend Andy Rouse proposed a V8 touring car series called SCV8 in the UK. However, Rouse did build one car as an example of the series, and it was arguably the coolest Jaguar X-Type ever. Based on the aforementioned bespoke spaceframe, wearing a production X-Type body shell the SCV8 X-Type also got a Hewland sequential gearbox and six/four pot AP brakes.
