The situation made Wells​ realise that he did not have a good grasp on his consumer rights. But Wells​ is not alone, new research from MBIE reveals that people aged 18 to 26 are less likely to know their consumer rights. Because of the gaps in their knowledge, almost half of young people were likely to leave a consumer rights issue unresolved. The point here is that young people are among the group that don’t know what their consumer rights are, and are likely to be transacting with less confidence.
