I struggle with the word cyber when it relates to victims of cyber-crime. A victim of a cyber-crime is the same as a victim of a crime experienced in the physical space. Often, we spend time working with the victim, proving that the person they want to send money to is a criminal. Never send money to someone without talking to a trusted adult. Usually criminals contact the intended victim by phone and inform them that their computer is infected with a virus.
