And so, more than its beef noodles, oyster omelet and hot pot specialties, Taiwan‘s cuisine has so much beauty and goodness to offer like the city itself. The 2018 Taiwan Culinary Exhibition held on August 10 to 13 at the Taipei World Trade Center had something different to cater to food enthusiasts and tourists in elevating their culinary culture. In its 27th iteration, the exhibition established a platform for culinary exchange under the theme “The Age of Beauty and Goodness” to over 180,000 visitors from Taiwan and overseas. According to Wu, Halal cuisine was a first-timer in their exhibition which promoted Muslim-friendly dining. With the charm brought by the authentic Taiwanese delicacies in the exhibition, its food culture may most likely continue to be in the forefront of its own tourism industry in the coming years.
