The United Incident: Society Is Violence

Rather, it is an example of the everyday violence (and threatened violence) that keeps that capitalist order running. Even in a functioning socialist utopia, people do not have access to all places at all the time. If a socialist citizen tries to go somewhere that they aren't allowed, violence or the threat of violence may be required to remove them. This is because private property and the violence required to maintain it is not a feature of capitalism, it's a feature of any functioning society. But violence and the threat of violence do indeed underlie capitalism, just as the underlie all functioning societies.
