PETALING JAYA: The Star Online has retained its position as the top news portal in the country. According to a report by the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA), The Star Online maintained pole position for the month of November last year. Based on data from comScore Me­­dia Metrix, the report showed that The Star Online ranked ninth among the top 20 local web domains most visited on desktop computers in Malaysia, with 705,000 visitors. Maybank’s online banking portal maybank2u.com.my remained in the first place with 3.9 million unique visitors, followed by CIMB’s banking portal cimbclicks.com.my and AirAsia.com.my. The Star Online was also the top news portal in March and June, according to an earlier report released by MDA.
