South Korean screenwriter Song Jae Jung is best known for her fantasy dramas, the latest of which is Memories of Alhambra, starring Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye. Most people in the real world don’t have to deal with dangerous situations but in a fantasy, anyone may suddenly find their world turned upside down. In Song’s previous drama, W, characters slip between the real world and a manhwa through a writer’s computer screen. But once he changes the past, he’s no longer dating his fiancée. While Song’s fantasy dramas are spellbindingly entertaining, her fictional men often live in a world of their own, leaving their kdrama heroines to wait for them or chase them down.
