Denmark, the European country, hosts this kind of exhibition celebrating the history of women’s art for a century and a half. The “Women and Change” exhibition is being held at the Alken Museum for Moderne Art in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. 120 masterpieces of female artists not only in Denmark but all over the world will be exhibited. According to the museum, the history of female art was shaped about 150 years ago. The earliest traces of the women’s movement in art history date back to around 1870.
