David Bradley has a simple rule when it comes to creating the perfect Mardi Gras ensemble: the gaudier, the better. “We want to have something original,” said Bradley, of the Village of Liberty Park. You can’t have too many bells.”He sported a jester’s hat with bells at the ends; sunglasses with tiny bells; loads of beads; and a vest. They were two of the hundreds of people who got a jump-start on the excitement thanks to The Villages Mardi Gras Festival held Tuesday at Spanish Springs Town Square. The Bradleys, along with other members of the Louisiana Club, marched around the square to their own music and handed out beads.
