A year before “The Kids of Degrassi Street” ended its eight-year run as a Canadian TV sensation, the show’s cast posed for Star photographer Keith Beaty on Degrassi Street in east Toronto. The Degrassi shows were renowned for dealing head-on with big issues, from the joyful (first loves and big dreams) to the gritty (teen pregnancy and substance abuse). In “The Kids of Degrassi,” Stacie Mistysyn (pictured, top centre) played Lisa. (The silent auction concludes today on the Degrassi Tour Facebook page; the duo will hold a bonus live auction on March 26.) The Degrassi cast remembers their friend with love.
