Now, Tregothnan Estate, which sells small tubs for $50 in high-end London stores, has vowed to produce the world's "purest" manuka honey. "Using insect nets, we will try to enclose the bees on our bushes so they produce 100% mono-floral manuka honey." The manuka bush, Leptospermum scoparium, is also called tea tree, jelly bush, and red damask and grows across the Tasman.
