In recent history, X Factor has been put under the microscope once again, as people re-evaluate the treatment of reality TV contestants. “Doing X Factor has definitely affected me, going forward, because there is no bigger crash-course than becoming famous overnight and having to deal with everything,” he says. “It’s nice that all this time on from that idiot on X Factor, people can go ‘oh he’s doing alright’.”
