The Democratic hopeful cautiously responded to the resolution being passed by the council. “I am grateful to all who would engage in discussion and action to ensure the full civil rights of every American,” he added. Reno Mayor Eric Hunter reiterated the council’s position in an interview with the Hill, saying their resolution represents the city’s feelings about O’Rourke’s comments.
