Tesla is making waves in the world of automobiles as this week the carmaker moved ahead of mighty American carmakers General Motors and Ford in terms of market value. The value of Tesla's shares has soared in 2017 based on the belief that Tesla will deliver huge profits in the future. Tesla's shares are currently valued over the $300 mark and the market value of the carmaker is pegged at $53 billion. General Motors on the other hand is currently trading at $34 and is valued just under $50 billion.
