The recent spell of good weather looks set to continue as temperatures are expected to hit 23C today - but you'll want to make the most of the sunshine as "heavy showers" are on the way in the coming days. According to Met Eireann's forecast, much of the western half of Ireland will stay today with spells of hazy sunshine. Later on however, a spell of heavy rain will however move in from the Atlantic to affect the west and north. Lowest temperatures 12 to 15 degrees Celsius, in mostly moderate southwest breezes, but fresher up along the Atlantic coast. The changeable and often unsettled weather setup looks set to continue for Sunday with blustery winds and occasional rain or showers.
