KUALA LUMPUR: A teenager concocted a story about finding a newborn baby outside her window so that her mother would not find out that she had just given birth to the child. The 19-year-old girl told her mother she heard cries from outside a window at their house at around 7.30am Tuesday. Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt R. Supramaniam said the mother went to investigate and found a black cloth tied onto the window grille, with a baby wrapped inside it. When we took her in for questioning, she confessed to giving birth to the child," Supt Supramaniam explained. He said the girl admitted to delivering the baby boy at about 6.45am and lying to her mother about it.
