British Transport Police were called to Queenborough railway station at 4.44pm yesterday following a report of a casualty on the tracks. In a statement they said: "Officers and paramedics attended but sadly a teenage boy was pronounced dead at the scene. (Image: BTP Kent/Twitter)Some reports on social media claimed a person had jumped from an iron bridge near the railway station, but this has not been confirmed. Southeastern train services on the Sheerness line were suspended while emergency services responded to the incident.
