(File photo)Turner, now 18, of Ngāruawāhia, was jailed for four and a half years when he appeared in the Hamilton District Court on Monday. His car slid into the opposite lane and slammed head-on into the car with Cox and her daughter inside. Those other charges include reckless driving, reckless driving causing injury, failing to stop to ascertain injury, failing to stop for police, driving while forbidden, male assaults female, receiving stolen property, wilful damage and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle. As well as the jail time, Judge Simon Menzies also disqualified Turner from driving for four years.
