A teenager was rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle near Elgin Avenue and Gertie Street in Winnipeg early Saturday morning. Police were called to the area around 1:30 a.m. and found the 15-year-old girl in unstable condition. On May 21, a 30-year-old man died after he was hit by a vehicle on Cumberland Avenue, near the intersection with Carlton Street. An 18-year-old man remains in critical condition after a hit and run on Jefferson Avenue, east of the McPhillips Street intersection, last weekend. The same weekend, an eight-year-old girl was also injured after being hit by a truck while riding her bike on Westgrove Way.
