Teen allegedly threatened parents with knife, hockey stick and crossbow: police

— A teenager is facing charges after allegedly threatening his parents with a knife and crossbow, and allegedly assaulting his stepfather with a hockey stick. Police in Kingston, Ont., say the 18-year-old returned home early Wednesday and allegedly began smashing things with a hockey stick. Investigators allege he continued his rampage, grabbing a knife and stabbing it into a bathroom door while threatening to slit his parents’ throats if they called police. They say the stepfather was allegedly assaulted again when he tried to disarm the man after he fired a crossbow bolt into a hallway wall. Police say the man surrendered to officers about 7 1/2 hours after the incident began and is charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, possession of a weapon, mischief, and assault with a weapon.
