Democratic Party lawmaker Ted Hui Chi-fung was arrested this morning, after seven other pro-democracy lawmakers were also arrested yesterday over a LegCo meeting which descended into violence in May. Hui was arrested on suspicion of contempt and interference with Legco officers under the Legislative Council (Powers and Privileges) Ordinance, the same as the other seven lawmakers. The seven arrested yesterday include Democratic Party lawmakers Wu Chi-wai, Andrew Wan Siu-kin, Helena Wong Pik-wan, and Labour Party lawmaker Fernando Cheung Chiu-hung. Chairman of the Labour Party, Kwok Wing-kin, and former legislators Eddie Chu Hoi-dick and Raymond Chan Chi-chuen were also arrested.
