U.S. stocks edged mostly lower in midsession trading Monday as technology companies such as Apple and Microsoft took big losses. That was canceling out huge gains for banks, which were rising as bond yields climbed to their highest levels since January. Apple fell 2.7%, one of the biggest losses in the Dow Jones industrial average. The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 2 points, or 0.1%, to 2,162. The Dow edged up 24 points, or 0.1%, to 18,879.
