Crews are battling an early morning brush fire on the edge of the Angeles National Forest in Tujunga Canyons, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. City and county firefighters rushed to the area to battle the flames. U.S. Forest Service and county helicopters were dropping water on the flames, official said. The fire had grown to 25 acres but was 50% contained by 9:30 a.m., the U.S. Forest Service tweeted. UPDATES:9:35 a.m.: This article was updated to report new acreage and containment numbers.
