BALIK PULAU (Bernama): A teacher has fallen victim to a parcel scam syndicate, causing her to lose RM358,350, said Barat Daya police. "The victim received the call when she was at a school in Teluk Kumbar here and was told that she was required to make some payment for parcel that was sent to her,” he added. The victim, who was afraid, did as she was told and made the payment through 10 transactions at several ATM machines, involving RM358,350, between August and October this year, he added. He said the woman realised she was cheated and lodged a police report two days ago when she received a call asking her to make an additional payment for the parcel. Investigations by the police found that the money was deposited into accounts which were under the name of several individuals, he added.
