KUALA TERENGGANU: A religious school student in Kampung Raja, Besut sustained bruises after he was kicked and caned by his two teachers for allegedly stealing money from a school mate. In the 11pm incident on Saturday, the 12-years old victim was attacked after he denied the accusation. Besut district police chief, Superintendant Mohd Zamri Rowi confirmed the arrest of a 26-year-old teacher at the school. When the boy refused to admit to the theft, the teachers started attacking the boy. The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
